People and the Sea Film Festival

People and the Sea Film Festival Inc. is guided by a volunteer board. The festival's mandate is to organize and promote an annual festival that includes Newfoundland and Labrador, Canadian, and international films as well as provide a venue for new production and discussion of films dealing with the interactions between people and the sea.

Fishing For the Future Film Festival

The Fishing For the Future Film Festival 2012 marked the 20th anniversary of the closure of Newfoundland and Labrador's northern cod fishery, and showcased film and video work on maritime communities, oceans, marine fisheries and aquaculture in Canada and around the world. The Fishing For the Future Film Festival was supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
